Harry's Detroit

Everyone has their spots to watch the big game. Sometimes it's the smokey dive around the corner with 2 dollar pints and greasy burgers. Other times, you're looking for more than just "pub-grub". You want good beer and good food to match.

Harry's is a sports bar for sure, they've got plenty of HDTVs that are configured correctly, the picture looked very good. There is tons of room for large groups. But the beer selection is above par for a sports bar. On draft, they had the usual suspects, but they also had Stone IPA, Harp, and Bell's Winter White among others.

The place has normal bar fare covered - Chicken Wings, Artichoke dip, Quesadillas (all above average). But the Crab Cakes and Tex-Mex Egg Rolls are also excellent. For some items that are definitely not on menu at the Detroiter, try the Sesame Salmon Salad. This might be the only sports bar where you shouldn't think twice about ordering such items.

Harry's isn't super cheap, Sandwiches / Burgers are all in the 8 dollar range, but the food is damn good across the board. Because of the location ("Scary" South Cass Corridor, Just north of 75) this is still a hidden gem. It's a quick walk to Comerica Park, which makes it a great spot before or after the game. And if you want to catch some of the Pistons game after you get out of the Theatre, you won't feel out of place.
